To be completely honest, I have a difficult time reading books with a dark theme and there were many times I had to shut my Kindle off and breathe but as I said before Pepper Winters has a way of pulling the reader in to her clutches and refuses let go.
Tasmin, taken from one of her mother's charity events and is beaten until broken, given a new name, then sold to the highest bidder, looses everything in one short moment. In a world where control has been stripped from her she finds a tiny shred remaining and refuses to give it up no matter what happens to her.
Tasmin finds a way to communicate with "No One". We get to see what is going on inside her mind and what the author doesn't tell us. She doesn't reveal the details of what she goes through with Master A, instead we are left to our own imaginations. I hate and love that. I am not really sure I would have been able to read without having difficulties and I am very sure it would have taken me longer to finish.
Her savior comes in the form of another villain. But is she really saved?
I would absolutely recommend reading this book. It is a dark dark story but it is very much worth it.
