ARC sent for honest review Release date: May 19
Falling for His Best Friend is a good quick read. I managed
to read it in one sitting. The relationship between Avery and Drew kept me
wanting more. Both are driven by past experiences, alcoholism and cancer. They
are best friends whose past experiences are influencing their futures.
Avery with the burden of cancer looming over her head
decides to have a baby before cancer forces her to have a hysterectomy.
Drew refuses to fall in love because the thought of losing
her would send him into a downward spiral like his father.
Drew refusing to allow another man’s baby in Avery’s belly, volunteers.
Their friendship is on the line and their lives will never
be the same.
The ending was predictable, there is a HEA and overall I
liked the book. The characters were believable and dealing with real life issues.
The author draws you into the characters’ lives and I couldn't help but feel
for both of them.
The scene at the fertility clinic made me laugh and made their
first baby making encounter HOT! In fact all the baby making scenes were H. O.
T. HOT! Especially when Drew pulls Avery over in his Sheriff car. So yummy!
